USAGE AND FEATURES
Intermediate pieces are used to connect steel pipes with the polyethylene ones to enable gas and water flow. It’s produced in sizes from DN20 to DN300. Maximum working pressure is specified by the declared working pressure of the PEHD pipe. Depending on the endings of the steel ends we differ next types of intermediate pieces:
- FePEC (welding pipe endings)
- FePEP (flange endings)
- FePEN (screwed pipe endings)
PRODUCTION AND CONTROL
They meet the DIN 2470/1, DIN 8074 and DIN 8075 standard. All joints are being tested and they meet the high mechanical properties required which leads to a big safety factor. For extra precautions, there is a NBR “O” ring installed in the intermediate piece.
